About Us

“The primary goal of real education is not to deliver facts but to guide students to the truths that will allow them to take responsibility for their lives.”
― John Taylor Gatto,

We are moms united by a passion for education, and our journey has been deeply influenced by the belief that learning is a lifelong adventure. We have and are homeschooling seven amazing children, ranging from the youngest, who is nearly 3, to the eldest, who is currently pursuing a degree in BioChemistry at the University of Puget Sound.

We strive to create an environment where curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning thrive. Our educational approach is inspired by the teachings of John Taylor Gatto, Charlotte Mason, and Rudolph Steiner. We embrace the principle of "show, don't tell," believing that hands-on, experience-based learning is the key to fostering deep, meaningful understanding.

As moms who care deeply about the future of our children, we dedicate ourselves to guiding them on their unique paths, nurturing their minds, and encouraging them to embrace the joy of learning throughout their lives.

Our Stories

Krystal

Our homeschooling journey began with a desire to find the best educational options for our children. After moving to the area, we first joined a homeschool co-op, and it quickly became a wonderful fit for our family. The kids thrived in that supportive, community-based environment, and we were able to build meaningful connections with other families who shared our commitment to education.

We also explored private school options in our search for the right fit. While the experience was valuable, we soon realized that as our children get older, we wanted more flexibility and the ability to hand-pick classes that align with their interests and educational needs.

Now, as our kids continue to grow, we’re focusing on the flexibility to choose specific classes that we believe will best support their individual journeys. We’re excited to continue creating an educational experience that empowers our children and allows us to customize their learning in a way that fosters curiosity, passion, and lifelong growth.

While we didn’t choose to homeschool, we always believed in the power of a well-rounded education. From the start, we looked for opportunities to supplement our children's learning with high-quality programs that would help them not just survive, but truly thrive in school. We are passionate about ensuring that our children have the tools, resources, and experiences they need to excel academically and personally, and we’ve made it a priority to expose them to diverse, enriching learning environments. Our goal has always been to encourage curiosity, foster creativity, and support their growth both in and out of the classroom.

In 2017 when we moved to this area, we started searching for quality educational resources to supplement our children’s learning. We quickly realized that while there were many homeschool co-ops around, they often required full-time commitments, and we were looking for something more flexible.

We have always followed the model of child-led learning, and co-ops didn't fulfill the needs we had. We wanted the option that allowed them to explore a subject that interested them— and be able to move on if it wasn't what drove them to want to explore and learn. We were looking for something that allowed our children to tailor their education without being locked into a long-term program. The flexibility to choose and customize their learning experiences has been essential to us as, and we’ve been dedicated to finding a balance that suits our family's needs.

This search for a la carte homeschool classes inspired us to build a supportive community of like-minded families and educators who also value flexibility and quality. And so, our journey continues, guided by the belief that education should be personalized, adaptable, and above all, enjoyable.
